ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The Canadian International Art Competition (“CIAC”) will be hosting the first and biggest international art competition in the world.
Taking place at the International Centre, Hall 5, in Toronto in December 8-10, 2017, this event will not only bring together a wide range of talented and exceptional artists from across the globe but will also allow art enthusiastic as well as connoisseurs to observe, admire and purchase some of the most unique and diverse works of arts in the world!
Encompassing 110,000 square feet of space, this event will incorporate over 550 booths, 2500 artists and will feature a list of diverse works including but limited to, sculptures, paintings (oil, water colour), wood cutting, mix media and interactive installations. Artists and exhibitors who wish to compete internationally can take part in our world competition where they will be given a unique platform to display their works and structures and recognized with total prize of $100,000.00 will be distributed amongst the selected recipients.

Awards:
At the end of the event, a jury panel will select the top three best works in 6 different categories and recipients will be honoured with awards and prizes at a special red carpet ceremony.
CIAC will be providing the biggest ever prize award amounting to $100,000.00, distributed amongst all its recipients.
All of the entry art works, artists’ biographies and their pictures will be published in an international competition book. All of the entry artists’ names will be recorded in our online artist directory as well.
Top 100 artists in the world will be promoted internationally and will receive prizes for each category as follows:
1st Place
Will receive
$3500 CAD;
Gold Medal;
international competition certificate;
free entry admission for 2018 competition; and
free publication in the competition yearbook
2nd Place
Will receive
$2500 CAD;
Silver Medal;
international competition certificate;
free entry admission for 2018 competition; and
free publication in the competition yearbook
3rd Place
Will receive
$1500 CAD;
Bronze Medal;
international competition certificate;
free entry admission for 2018 competition; and
free publication in the competition yearbook
4th to 10th place
Will receive
$500 CAD;
Competition Medal;
international competition certificate; and
free publication in the competition yearbook
11th to 100th top artist in the world
Will receive
Competition Medal;
international competition certificate; and
free publication in the competition yearbook
All of the prizes will be distributed by a very special guests from the Canadian Government, dignitaries and internationally known activist.
Art work size: 36 inch x 36 inch – 91.44 cm x 91.44 cm
Each artist participating in international competition must adhere to the following restrictions:
1. Each artist will share a wall (4×10) to display their work.
2. Only one work of art can be displayed by each artist and must comply with the theme of the competition. An extra fee of $299 will be required if an artist wishes to enter any additional work into the competition up to 6 art works.
3. All works of art entered within the competition must be insured independently by the artist.
4. Delivery of works of art must be made 4 weeks prior to the competition for artists who are outside of Canada and 1 week prior to the competition for those who reside in Canada. Note: all postage and delivery charges must be incurred by the artist.
5. All paintings entered into the competition will be displayed without frame.
6. If an artist wishes to add lighting to their display, an additional fee of $75 CAD is required for each light installed. Artist should contact a representative prior to the competition in order to make arrangements.
7. If an artist requires storage for their work, they should contact a representative prior to the competition in order to make arrangements.
A jury panel will select the winners of this competition within 6 categories of art works and a total prize of $100,000.00 will be distributed amongst the selected recipients.
All of the entry art works, artists’ biographies and their pictures will be published in an international competition book. All of the entry artists’ names will be recorded in our online artist directory as well.
Competition Fees
Artists who wish to participate in the international competition component of this show will have the opportunity to display their works on the competition wall. All artists and exhibitors taking part in this competition must ensure that their work or structure is ready for display upon arrival and must be presented in their original format (copies of art work are not acceptable).
Application fee (Adult): $649.00
The above fees include only one work per artist.
Supplementary work for each art work: $299.00 / art work

Artists who wish to participate in the exhibition portion of this event will have the unique opportunity to showcase and sell their works of art within assigned booths.
PRICING:
CIAE will provide a platform for all exhibitors to canvass their work. CIAE will provide booths on a first come, first-serve basis.
All structures and works must comply with the following restrictions:
Work or structure may not extend beyond the limits of the booth space (either 10’x8’ – 10’x16’ – 10’x24′) height of 10’. Arrangements can be made for additional space upon request;
All work and structures must be ready for display upon arrival;
All work and structures must be presented in their original format, copies are not accepted;
All necessary equipment will need to be provided by the exhibitors independently; and
Lighting is also not included with this fee, however option to rent such service can be arranged.
